Mr Sight attends Comic Con every year with the same confidence he brings to late-night philosophy and early-morning newspapers. As an owl head with permanently very knowing eyes, people assume he has it all figured out. This assumption is his first challenge. Comic Con, for Mr Sight, is tricky. Everyone expects him to dress as something wise, ancient, or profound. Last year someone asked him why he didn’t just come “as himself.” He laughed politely for three minutes and then went home and reorganized his bookshelf emotionally. This year, he prepared differently. Instead of overthinking costumes, Mr Sight dressed as “Mr Sight When He Doesn’t Know.” Same owl head. Slightly messy feathers. Glasses tilted. A notebook that says “Still Learning.” His insecurity? That wisdom must always look serious. His fear? That people would be disappointed. The challenge? Letting go of the pressure to always be right. At Comic Con, something magical happened. Zanabians smiled, nodded, and thanked him. Children asked questions without fear. Adults admitted confusion openly. Mr Sight realized wisdom isn’t knowing everything—it’s being comfortable not knowing. He went home lighter, slept deeply (rare), and woke up smiling. Comic Con, once again, helped him see better. 🦉✨
