Mūndram Tiruvandādi — Peyāzhvār (Pāsurams 11–20)

Peyāzhvār deepens vision into character. Seeing the Lord’s compassion dissolves fear. The universe no longer feels vast and hostile; it feels intimate and held. பொன்னே மேனி பொலியும் வண்ணம் முன்னே நின்று மொழிந்தான் எனக்கு என்னே இவனே என் துணை என்றேன் என்னுள் அமைதி நிறைந்தது. The Āzhvār experiences reassurance through presence. The Divine stands before him not to command, but to console. Peace enters without argument. அவன் அருகே நின்று கண்டேன் அவன் அருளால் நான் நின்றேன் அவன் செயல் என உலகம் ஆனது அவன் ஒளி என மனம் ஆனது. Outer life and inner life merge. The world becomes divine action; the mind becomes divine light. This verse teaches integration rather than withdrawal. எண்ணம் தளர்ந்து நினைவு நின்றது நெஞ்சம் உருகி நிலை பெற்றது வண்ணம் இன்றி உண்மை கண்டேன் துன்பம் தூரம் போனது. When mental effort ceases, clarity appears. Suffering loosens its grip not by resistance, but by understanding. பார்க்கும் பார்வை அவன் ஆனான் கேட்கும் செவி அவன் ஆனான் பார்க்கும் பொருள் அவன் ஆனான் வாழும் வாழ்வு அவன் ஆனான். The Divine saturates perception. Peyāzhvār’s vision is complete: nothing lies outside presence. Ordinary experience becomes sacred. நான் என்ற சொல் நழுவி போனது நீ என்ற உண்மை நிறைந்தது ஏன் என்ற கேள்வி கரைந்தது தேன் போன்ற அமைதி வந்தது. Ego dissolves quietly. Questions fall away. Sweet stillness replaces seeking. மாறும் உலகம் மயங்கச் செய்தாலும் மாறாத அவனை கண்டேன் சாரும் உறவுகள் சிதறினாலும் சாராத அவன் அருள் சேர்ந்தேன். Change no longer frightens when constancy is known. This verse comforts hearts facing uncertainty with a promise of unshaken refuge. உறங்கும் போதும் அவன் நின்றான் விழிக்கும் போதும் அவன் நின்றான் தளரும் நேரம் வந்த போதும் தாங்கும் கருணை நின்றது. Grace is tireless. It holds the devotee even in exhaustion. Devotion is carried by compassion. எல்லாம் அவன் அருள் என்றேன் எல்லாம் அவன் செயல் என்றேன் என்னுள் நன்றி பெருகியது எண்ணம் சாந்தி அடைந்தது. Gratitude replaces judgment. Acceptance becomes peace. The heart rests in thankfulness. இதுவே காட்சி இதுவே தெளிவு இதுவே வழி இதுவே நிலை இதுவே அவன் அருள் செய்த பத்து இதுவே எனக்கு என்றும் ஒளி. The tenth pāsuram seals this set with luminous certainty. Vision, clarity, path, and stability converge into lived truth. These ten pāsurams continue to brighten Peyāzhvār’s lamp, where devotion flowers into vision and vision settles into serenity. The Divine is no longer sought; He is seen everywhere, and the heart rests in that sight.
