Mūndram Tiruvandādi — Peyāzhvār (Pāsurams 21–30)

Peyāzhvār opens this set by declaring the irreversible shift that vision brings. Once the Divine is seen, nothing remains the same. The world does not disappear, but its weight lightens. The heart learns how to live without fear. அவன் ஒளி என் கண்களில் நின்றது அவன் அருள் என் நெஞ்சில் நின்றது அவன் கருணை என் வழியில் நின்றது அவன் துணை எனக்கு உறுதி ஆனது. Vision becomes companionship. The Lord’s presence moves from sight into support. This verse reassures that grace does not vanish after revelation; it stays and guides. முன்னை நினைவு மங்கியது பின்னை பயம் மறைந்தது இந்நாள் வாழ்வு இனிது ஆனது உன்னால் எல்லாம் சீரானது. Past burdens and future anxieties dissolve together. Life settles into the present. The verse teaches grounded living rooted in trust. பார்த்தேன் அவனை என் பாதையில் நின்று காத்தான் அவனை என் சோதனையில் துணை ஆனான் அவனை என் தவறுகளில் காத்தருளான் அவனை என் நலம் என கண்டேன். Here the Āzhvār recognizes grace in protection, correction, and patience. The Divine does not abandon during failure. This verse speaks powerfully to human vulnerability. உலகம் இயங்கினாலும் உள்ளம் நின்றது சுகமும் துயரும் சமம் ஆனது நகமும் நரம்பும் அவன் ஆனது அகமும் புறமும் அவன் ஆனது. Inner stillness emerges even as the world moves. Pleasure and pain lose their extremes. The verse reflects emotional maturity born of vision. நான் என்ற உணர்வு மறைந்த பின்னே நீ என்ற உண்மை நிறைந்தது தேடல் ஓய்ந்தது தாகம் தீர்ந்தது தேன் போன்ற அமைதி பிறந்தது. Seeking dissolves when truth fills the heart. Desire gives way to fulfillment. Peace arrives naturally. எண்ணம் எழுந்தாலும் ஏமாற்றவில்லை வினை வந்தாலும் விழவில்லை கண்ணன் கருணை எனக்கு துணை என்றேன் நன்மை தீமை ஒன்றாய் கண்டேன். This verse reflects resilience. Life’s ups and downs no longer define worth. Grace steadies perception. பார்க்கும் பார்வை புனிதம் ஆனது கேட்கும் சொல் எல்லாம் இனிது ஆனது பார்க்கும் உலகம் பகை இல்லை ஆனது உள்ளம் நிறைவு கண்டது. Perception transforms into reverence. The world feels less hostile and more meaningful. Inner fullness replaces judgment. எல்லாம் அவன் செயல் என்றேன் எல்லாம் அவன் அருள் என்றேன் என்னுள் நன்றி பெருகியது எண்ணம் அமைதி அடைந்தது. Gratitude deepens vision. Acceptance becomes effortless. The heart rests without resistance. இதுவே காட்சி இதுவே பயன் இதுவே வழி இதுவே நிலை இதுவே அவன் அருள் செய்த பத்து இதுவே எனக்கு என்றும் விளக்கு. The tenth pāsuram seals this set by affirming vision as light and refuge. The lamp burns steadily, illuminating lived clarity. These ten pāsurams continue to strengthen Peyāzhvār’s lamp, where divine vision reshapes perception, emotion, and daily life. The heart no longer searches; it recognizes. The light is steady, warm, and unmistakable.
